The Nationalist Party, through its Shadow Minister for Primary Care and Mental Health, Ian Vassallo Hagi, today called on the government to immediately address growing waiting lists for primary care appointments across Malta and Gozo.

The Opposition is calling for:
- An immediate audit of waiting lists across all specialties
- Emergency recruitment of additional healthcare professionals
- Investment in telehealth services to reduce pressure on clinics
- A national healthcare workforce strategy for the next decade
Ian Vassallo Hagi has submitted formal parliamentary questions to the Minister of Health requesting detailed data on current waiting times and the government's plan to address the backlog.
