Assessing Healthcare in Rabat
Ian Vassallo Hagi, former Rabat councillor and current MP for District 7, conducted an official visit to the Rabat Health Centre following concerns raised by local residents about service quality and facility conditions.
During the visit, Ian met with centre management and frontline staff to discuss operational challenges, equipment needs, and service improvements. He also spoke with patients to understand their experience firsthand.
"Rabat deserves a health centre that fully meets the needs of its growing population. I am here to listen and to act," Ian said after the visit.

- Waiting room capacity needs to be expanded
- Some medical equipment requires urgent upgrading
- Staff expressed need for additional support resources
- Parking facilities are inadequate for patient volumes
Ian will be formally raising these observations and requesting responses from the Ministry of Health in the coming weeks through both parliamentary questions and direct ministerial correspondence.
